K.C. Atha, (she/her/hers)

K.C. Atha is the principal organizational development consultant, facilitator, speaker, and coach who leads Sembramos and collaborates with independent consultants and agencies to implement projects for socially conscious leaders and mission driven organizations. Since 2006, K.C. has worked with clients across the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, helping them align their intentions with meaningful outcomes. 

K.C. brings a range of experience, including serving as a congressional staffer on Capitol Hill, grassroots organizing in Washington D.C., human rights reporting in Jerusalem and the West Bank, working as an economic development specialist in El Salvador, and co-founding a tech start-up to support the safety of activists and journalists in closed and closing societies. 

The through-line of her work is partnering with leaders who view workplaces as both reflections of and contributors to society, striving to create cultures where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported. Together they build organizations that drive societal progress while emphasizing individual well-being and organizational health, recognizing their interconnectedness. K.C. approaches this work using trauma-informed, intersectional, and human-centered design strategies grounded in change management principles. She helps leaders evolve their policies, and practices to align their outcomes with their intentions and values.  

K.C. earned a Masters of Arts in International Administration with an emphasis on human rights and cross-cultural perspectives as well as bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Sociology. She is a qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and Intercultural Conflict Styles (ICS). K.C. is based in Washington D.C.
